Microsoft Excel 2013 Worksheet Template Tutorial How to Create
If you have to create a spreadsheet of same type daily with the same format, then creating a template once will save a lot of time for you. Templates are helpful when you have to create the same spreadsheet over and over. Daily you donít have to put all the formulas and headings to new spreadsheet/worksheet. Just do it once and save it as a template, use it daily in a blank worksheet and start entering data, donít waste your time entering all the formulas.
To make a new template for resourceís hourly timesheet for a day, just follow the steps below.
1. Open a new excel workbook and make a template like shown below.
2. In cost of the day cell, a formula is applied that calculates the hours surfed for any task and calculate the total cost for all the day. This will be our template for every day, so that we donít daily need to start putting all this before start putting actual data. Once we saved this as template we can start work by importing this template. Because we have setup this by adding all the formulas and everything.
3. Once you have your spreadsheet looking the way you want it. Then go to ďFileĒ > Save > then choose the location where you want to save your template, where you can access it easily.
4. Then a dialogue will appear, enter your templateís name and below name textbox choose the type of spreadsheet as Excel Template, and press save.
5: Now your template has been saved. You can use it whenever you want.
6: Now if you want to use your template, go to File> New > Click on PERSONAL > and select the template you want to use.
7: After clicking the template you want, you will see that selected template is appearing on your worksheet.
8: Start entering data.
