Excel Tips Tutorial: How to Connect Links to Excel Worksheets
Microsoft Excel allows you to link any file, email, picture, data table etc. to a worksheet where you are working on. This excellent option saves a lot time for any user who needs to connect to several reference data with her current data.
Let’s see how it works.
Open a worksheet in an Excel file like below picture. Now, say, in cell C4 you want to make a link to a file named “How to connect links to MS Excel Worksheet.docx” which is previously stored in your computer. To do this, first click “Insert” in the title bar and select “Hyperlink” . You will see a box with “Insert Hyperlink” header. Now browse your computer and select the file you want to link in cell C4. Here we select the file “How to connect links to MS Excel Worksheet.docx”. Now press “OK” .
You see, an underlined link is established with the file name. Now click the link and the linked file will open. See below pictures.
